The Town of Parry Sound lies in the heart of
the famous 30,000 Islands. It is surrounded by the beauty of Georgian Bay
and the rugged pink granite of the Canadian Shield, with its forests,
lakes and streams. Parry Sound Area is a four seasons vacation destination
with excellent waterfront facilities for boating, fishing and cruise

Six area provincial parks, The Big Sound, Georgian Bay, the Canadian
Shield, hiking trails, nearly endless acres of Crown Land, hundreds of
lakes and rivers, abundant wildlife - all within a very reasonable travel
distance from Toronto, Canada. Year-round activities include boating,
cottage-life, camping, fishing, scuba diving, rock and ice climbing,
hiking, cross country skiing, birding and much much more. Highway 400 runs through the area, making it a convenient distance from
many points north and south. Excellent spots from which to observe the Parry Sound waters and sailing races are along a shoreline fitness trail with several access points from town streets.
